Women’ Day Special: CFC Empowering Females

Females are an important part of any society and only a society which empowers and encourages its females can be said to be a civilized society. This empowerment can take several forms such as freedom of profession, education, no dress code and so forth but most importantly it is the health of a female which determines the health of the society.

Unfortunately many females in the developing countries like India are not open to discussing health issues especially when it relates to things like cancer. Breast cancer is one of the predominant diseases which is spreading and needs attention.

Many females are not even aware of signs and symptoms of breast and other forms of cancer and usually it gets detected too late. CFC has taken an initiative to empower women by organizing health camps, mammography sessions and talks by medicos. One such medico who is on the forefront of these activities is Dr Kunal Jain who is an oncologist by profession and currently works for DMC Ludhiana
